To close the year, the FBGB announced that it will hold a series of events. As part of the implementation of the annual activities scheduled by the Guinea-Bissau Basketball Federation, and the implementation of one of the objectives set out in the basketball development plan, which is to develop activities aimed at encouraging the practice of the sport by children in the country through PROBASKET.
In this sense, the FBGB informs basketball lovers and the general public that it will hold a Christmas charity event called "CIMAF-2024" CHRISTMAS BASKETBALL DAY for around 300 children who enjoy playing basketball, as a way of highlighting the importance of this sport in basic training.
The aforementioned event is sponsored by the company CIMAF and is scheduled for December 21 (Sunday) at 2:00 pm at the Lino Correia multipurpose stadium. The children will be accompanied by their parents and teachers, who will have the opportunity to watch games, cultural activities and Christmas gift giving.
The Federation will then hold a friendly match between the country's former basketball players, divided into two teams: BISSAU X DIASPORA.
The aforementioned match will take place on December 21st this year at 8:30 pm on the basketball court at the Lino Correia stadium and aims to bring back the old glories and relive the good times.
If you didn't have the opportunity to see the former best players of this sport, here is your chance to watch them.For this reason, the Basketball Federation of Guinea-Bissau informs that maintenance work on the court is underway, so all activities on the court are suspended during the works.
The event is free, so bring your children to receive Christmas gifts and have fun.
