Cabral Represents Guinea Bissau in FIBA Africa Youth Camp

Our country was once again invited to participate in one of the best camps in Africa, taking place this year in Mali, from the 20th to the 22nd of this month, Male and 26th to 28th in Rwanda, female, born in 2007 and 2008.

Last year, we had a participant in this event, namely César Vieira, who plays for the Ajuda Basket academy.

The FIBA Regional Youth Camp ​​Africa is an elite program designed to identify and develop the best young African basketball players. The camps will be supervised by experts as they work on the technical aspects of basketball during the camps. 

FIBA has collaborated with some of the most renowned personalities in African basketball.

Issuf Tournament 

The team from the north zone beat its counterpart from the autonomous sector of Bissau by 43 to 30 at the end of the tournament played yesterday (30.12.23) at the multipurpose stadium at the LINO CORREIA stadium. And on the same field last week, the SOUTH women's team beat the NORTH team by 28 to 22 in the end.
The end of the men's game, which was postponed last week due to the incidents that occurred in the football game at the same sports complex, started yesterday at 5 pm and had a considerable public presence in the stands, with emphasis on the president of the federation. of Guinea-Bissau Basketball Claudimiro Almeida, ambassador of Morocco in Guinea-Bissau, Banana El Alaoui Mohammed Salah, wife of the honored deceased COACH ISSUF CASSAMA, Nhama Cassama among others.
After the end of the game, the president of FBGB, Claudimiro Almeida, congratulated the finalist teams while also recognizing the important contribution that the late COACH ISSUF CASSAMA made to the development of the sport in the country.
"As the federation's management, we want to reiterate our determination to join efforts to boost this modality, creating conditions so that there is a higher level of competitiveness between the teams in the championship that will start at the beginning of next year" guaranteed the top leader of the FBGB.  
The event also included recognition diplomas awarded to companies and associations that partner with the Basketball federation for their support in improving the quality of the sport.
Remember that next January marks the start of the national Basketball championship.
